We’re all slowed down by tedious drum layering workflows. Audio clips restrain swapping or editing multiple samples, MIDI clips on separate tracks lack visual representation of waveform relationships, while a multi-sample drum rack requires separate MIDI notes to trigger each sample. These are just a few drawbacks, and additionally, copying and pasting stacks of clips is unhandy across all approaches.
Each layer, apart from standard volume and pan controls, features a dedicated equaliser and multi-stage envelope generators for dynamic gain, pitch, filter, and distortion shaping.
In essence, LAYER IT is a streamlined, self-contained multitrack workspace with MIDI-triggered playback. And the created stack can be exported as a single audio file to a folder or dragged directly onto the DAW’s timeline.
