Xfer Serum 2 Presets & Sound Banks

What Are Serum 2 Presets?

Serum 2 presets are saved sounds created specifically for the newer version of Xfer Serum. A preset can store oscillator settings, wavetables, filters, envelopes, LFOs, modulation routes, effects and macro assignments. This lets you load a complete sound and start adjusting it immediately instead of building every patch from scratch.

Browse Serum 2 preset banks for basses, leads, keys, pads, plucks, arps, sequences, textures and effects. Before choosing a pack, listen to the audio demo and check the preset breakdown, included files and any additional installation requirements.

What Can a Serum 2 Preset Pack Include?

Not every Serum 2 bank contains the same type of content. Depending on the product, a download may include:

• Standard synth presets for basses, leads, pads, keys, plucks and effects.
• Custom wavetables and noises used by the included patches.
• Multisample instruments built from recorded sounds and loaded through Serum 2.
• One-shots and WAV files that can also be used directly in your DAW.
• MIDI files for melodies, chords, basslines or demo patterns.

Some products contain only presets, while others work more like complete sound libraries. Read the product details carefully and keep the supplied folder structure intact when additional samples, wavetables or noises are included.

Choose Serum 2 Presets by Sound Type

Start with the role that is missing from your track. Use bass and sub presets to build the low end, keys and plucks for melodic ideas, leads for hooks, and pads or textures to fill out the background. Arps and sequences can add movement, while effects and atmospheric patches are useful for transitions and less predictable layers.

Will Serum 2 Presets Work in Serum 1?

Presets made specifically for Serum 2 may use its newer file format, oscillator modes and other features that are not available in Serum 1. They should therefore not be treated as compatible with the original plugin. Serum 2 can load presets created for Serum 1, but compatibility does not work in the opposite direction. Always check the required plugin version before buying a bank.
